“We still haven’t decided whether we’ll live here or rent it out, so we wanted to see how this space could be organized and furnished.”
Apartment AY8 UNIT became an example of how a similar layout can still develop its own character. The clients appreciated the option created for DO, so the apartment’s planning turned out to be almost identical: the same main axes and functional blocks. Despite this, we managed to adapt the interior so it feels independent — conveying a different mood and spatial experience. The apartment combines a clear flow, comfort, and style, while remaining appealing both for living and for potential rental.
Concept.
Despite having a similar foundation, Apartment AY8 UNIT has its own distinct atmosphere.
The main goal was to give the apartment individuality through color choices and details while preserving the logic of the spatial zoning. We worked to ensure the space remained functional and flexible, with each area feeling inviting and well considered.
It was important to find a balance between a distinctive interior character and versatility for both residents and potential tenants.

Незважаючи на подібну основу, AY8 UNIT має власний настрій.
Основним завданням було надати квартирі індивідуальність через кольорові рішення та деталі, зберігаючи логіку зонування простору. Ми працювали над тим, щоб простір залишався функціональним і гнучким, а кожна зона — привабливою.
Важливо було знайти баланс між виразністю інтер’єру та універсальністю для мешканців чи орендарів.

The layout of Apartment 8A preserves a familiar structure, yet changes in the configurations create a distinct character.
Upon entering, the view immediately opens toward the kitchen and dining table. The kitchen is organized into two lines: a main block and an additional work surface, creating a connection between the kitchen, dining area, and the sofa in the living room. This arrangement adds a sense of dynamism to the space.
The living area received a new configuration: the storage unit is placed along the wall by the entrance, while the TV is positioned on the wall perpendicular to the kitchen. This approach allowed us to integrate the furniture composition more effectively while maintaining a sense of openness. The bedroom areas provide comfort and privacy. The bathroom was designed with a different layout as well, featuring only a shower cabin, emphasizing functionality.
Apartment AY8 UNIT demonstrates how a shared foundation can still result in a home with its own unique character.

Логіка в 8А зберігає знайому структуру, але зміни в конфігураціях створюють особливий характер.
При вході відразу відкривається перспектива кухні та обіднього столу. Кухня організована у дві лінії: основний блок та додаткова робоча поверхня, що створює зв’язок між кухнею, обідньою зоною та диваном у вітальні. Така організація додає динаміки простору.
Зона вітальні отримала нове розташування: шафа для зберігання розміщена по стіні з входом, а ТВ — на стіні, перпендикулярній кухні. Такий підхід дозволив ефектно обіграти меблі, зберігши легкість простору. Спальні блоки забезпечують комфорт і приватність. Ванна кімната отримала інше планування: передбачено лише душову кабіну, що підкреслює функціональність.
AY8 UNITдемонструє, як на одній основі можна створити квартиру з власним характером.
The interior of 8A is based on the contrast between white laminated chipboard and light wood.
The flooring is slightly darker, while the walls are finished in a creamy gray tone, creating a calm background. Blue accents appear in the large wardrobe near the entrance, on the kitchen backsplash, in the bathroom tiles, and are subtly introduced in the bedroom — in the bed base fabric, the bedside table, and the wall behind the bed.
Together, these elements add freshness and a light character to the interior.

Інтер’єр 8А базується на контрасті білого ЛДСП та світлого дерева.
Підлога трохи темніша, а стіни виконані у кремово-сіруватому тоні, що створює спокійний фон. Акценти синього кольору з’являються у великій шафі біля входу, на кухонному фартусі, у плитці санвузла та обережно присутні у спальній зоні — у тканині основи ліжка, приліжковому столику та стіні за ліжком.
Разом ці деталі додають інтер’єру свіжості та легкого характеру.
Lighting emphasizes the functions and form of the space: above the wooden round table, there is a pendant paper lamp; in the children’s room and
bathroom, wall sconces appear in the form of light “layers”; in the bedroom, minimalist classic-shaped sconces create a cozy atmosphere.
The kitchen and the entrance wardrobe feature open shelving on their ends, adding interesting details and breaking up the volume
without overloadingthe space.
The combination of white, wood, and blue accents creates a light yet expressive character for the apartment.
AY8 UNIT feels clear and well-considered: colors, materials, and lighting work together to create a stylish and harmonious interior with its own mood.

Світло підкреслює функції та форму простору: над дерев’яним круглим столом підвісний паперовий світильник, у дитячій і санвузлі бра
у вигляді світлових “шарів”, у спальні — мінімалістичні бра класичної форми, які формують затишок.
Кухня та шафа біля входу мають відкриті полиці на торцях, що створюють цікаві деталі і розбивають об’єм, не перевантажуючи простір.
Поєднання білого, дерева та синіх акцентів формує легкий, водночас яскравий характер квартири.
AY8 UNIT виглядає зрозумілою і продуманою: кольори, матеріали та світло працюють разом, щоб створити стильний і гармонійний інтер’єр із власним настроєм.

Apartment 8A proves that a space can develop its own character even within a similar layout. Every element — from the materials to the furniture configurations — contributes to a unique atmosphere.
The project highlights that even within a standardized framework, it is possible to create an interior that feels fresh, light, and inviting, with carefully considered details throughout.
